Gender Neutral Rape Provisions: Delhi High Court Issues Notice to Centre In PIL

The Delhi High Court today issued notice to the Central government in a public interest litigation challenging the Constitutional validity of Sections 375 and 376 of the Indian Penal Code and seeking framing of gender neutral rape provisions. A Bench of Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice C Hari Shankar heard the petition filed by Kumar, before seeking the response of the Centre in the case.
