The Khurda District and Sessions Court today rejected the bail plea of BJD MLA Pravat Ranjan Biswal, who was arrested by the CBI in a chit fund case. The legislator has been undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCBMCH) in Cuttack after his arrest. Judge R K Patnaik declined to grant bail to Biswal even though the latter’s lawyer pleaded on health ground.
