The Delhi High Court has taken a suo motu cognizance of the air pollution in the Capital and the NCR areas. It has issued a slew of directions to the States of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh highlighting the urgency of the need to check the contamination of air arising due to burning of crops.
