SC Nine-Judge Bench Declared ‘Heroes’ For Recognising Privacy As Fundamental Right

 

Justice Rohinton Nariman and the nine-judge bench of Supreme Court have declared Right to Privacy as a fundamental right in a case titled KS Puttaswamy Vs Union of India. Every year, ‘Access Now’ names “heroes” who have worked towards ensuring any electronic surveillance program which fully respects human rights and this year the nine-Judge bench has been acclaimed with this title.
