The Delhi High Court has ordered the Centre to ensure 5% quota for disabled people in shop allotment through Roster system. This decision was taken while listening to a petition by Mr. Amit Kumar Mit, who had aspired proper execution of Section 43 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995. Section 43 provides for preferential allotment of land for the welfare of the disabled.
