The democratic Youth of India has approached the Supreme Court regarding the deportation of the Rohingya Children. The Petition argues that deportation of children would be violation of provisions of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, 1989, which mandates protection of a special class of children, including the minority, the disabled and the refugees. It moreover demands better health and food facilities for the children suffering at the refugee camps.
