The Supreme Court while hearing a petition filed by Mr. Sadaullah observed that the Jharkhand High Court rejected to hear the petitioners appeal while observing that there are much older cases pending for more than thirteen and a half years. SC deplored that pendency of criminal appeals before high courts and has asked the centre to suggest remedies to ensure hearing of criminal appeals within reasonable time.
