PIL In Supreme Court For Granting Minority Status To Hindus In 8 States

A Public Interest Litigation has been filed in the Supreme Court by Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay for granting Minority status to Hindus in 8 States of the country. Mr. Upadhyay stated that Hindus are treated as majority in Lakshadweep, Mizoram, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Jammu & Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Punjab despite of being a minority in population and are deprived of all the benefits meant for the minority community.
