Following the consistent increase in public movement amidst the nationwide lockdown, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a letter on 02.04.2020. In the letter, MHA directed the Chief Secretaries of all the states to circulate the penal provisions of violating the lockdown measures among the people.
The MHA also directed law enforcement authorities to take action against the violators.
