SC Dismisses Plea Which Questioned Delay In MOP And Appointments Of Judges Before It’s Finalisation

The Supreme Court dismissed the petition which aimed a clarification from the Centre for the postpone in concluding the memorandum of the procedure (MOP) for appointment of judges to the Supreme Court and High Courts and which also questioned continuing appointments even when the MOP had not been finalised. There was no need to proceed in this issue according to SC.

Lawyers And Litigants Soon To Get Updates Of Cases, Copies Of Orders & Judgments Via Email

The Supreme courts eCommittee has ordered the High Court to create a database of lawyers and litigants to create a Case Information System. Creation of such database shall help the parties and their advocates to get regular updates  of their cases through registered email addresses.
