SC Endorses Karnataka Law Declaring Child Marriage ‘Void Ab Initio’, Asks Other States To Adopt The Route

  The Supreme Court has endorsed the amendment carried out by the Karnataka Legislature for the Prevention of Child Marriage Act, which proclaims that every child marriage is void ab initio. It also stated that sexual intercourse between a minor wife and her husband is illegal under the POSCO Act and every state should adopt the path taken by Karnataka.
